How I became and XBMC fan

I started using XBMC back when I was in college at Michigan State University around 2003. It was simple back then but kept getting better. I in my opinion emerged the clear winner of the XBox dashboard wars. AvaLaunch coming in second. Then some time later XBMC announced a port to the Windows XP platform. I was excited about it and tried it. Never got too into the windows version as it was too bulky, and in its' early stages seem to be a resource hog, even worse then Windows Media Player (sorry guys). So I waited until the day I new it would get as good as it did on the Xbox. Some time later a friend from college (also an fan of the XBMC) sent me a link to the top media software. Of course XBMC was at the top of that list. In fact it always seems to be the clear winner when it comes to comparing today's media player software. Kicking much backside since user driven feature enriched-ness being it's main ingredient. I thank the project manager for this; as they lay out the road-map for XBMC feature inclusion and practicality. Of course you can't beat free either. Which is the funny thing, it clearly beats even the most expensive media software on the market.
