Template:XBMC wiki toc

As the API from Weather Channel has changed, the XBMC built-in weather forecast vanished from core and needs from 15th November onwards an additional weather-addon.
Currently there is only one supported weather addon in the official repository, namely World Weather Online

This feature requires a build from 15th November 2011 or newer and needs the following commit included:

Configuration

In order to use the weather forecast you need to specify which addon shall provide the weather information.
Additionaly you have to set your location for the forecast. All these can be set in the Settings tab off the Home Screen.

You start at specifying which addon shall provide the data:

Next Step is heading to the "Settings"-button below the provider menu and setting at least on location in there

From now on you'll be able to get your weather forecast by clicking on the weather tab in the Home Screen

Forecast for Unknown Locations

Weather forecasts for smaller cities/villages/communities locations outside of America/Canada, for example in Europe may or may not exist on the World-Weather-Online service. The only thing you can do then is select the closest larger city/village/community.
