The "XBMC Foundation" is a tax-exempt registered non-profit organization behind the XBMC project. They are legally represented by the SFLC (Software Freedom Law Center), which assists the XBMC Foundation with legal matters such as copyright, trademark, and branding questions, as well as economic issues such as handling donations and expenses.
