Alternative keymaps for the Amazon Fire TV remote, as suggested by the community.

Note: To make the remote work with XBMC's on-screen-keyboard, go to XBMC -> Settings -> System -> Input devices and enable Remote control sends keyboard presses

Keymap 1

Cut and paste the following into a new text document and save as keyboard.xml and place in userdata/keymaps/

      <backspace>Stop</backspace>

Changes from the default are shown in bold print.

Global
3. Directional pad:
  • Up
  • Down
  • Right
  • Left
4. Select
6. Context menu
7. Fast forward
8. Play/pause
9. Back
10. Rewind
Video playback
3. Directional pad:
  • Up: Volume up
  • Down: Volume down
  • Right: +30 seconds
  • Left: -30 seconds
4. On-screen-display menu/select
6. SmallStepBack (go back 7 seconds)
7. Fast forward
8. Play/pause
9. Stop
10. Rewind
