OUYA uses XBMC for Android. The future XBMC version, v13 "Gotham", should be fully compatible with the OUYA.
- XBMC for Android - For brave test users, we currently recommend a nightly Android build. It is an unstable development version, but contains the latest fixes and improvements.

- XBMC for OUYA - An unofficial version of XBMC based on v12.2, but with hardware video decoding, available from the OUYA Store. This version has AC3 and DTS audio processing disabled due to licensing issues.
- SPMC - Because the XBMC for OUYA version has AC3 and DTS audio disabled, you can download SPMC, which is the OUYA store version (v12,2) + AC3/DTS: BitTorrent (please use BitTorrent if you can) • Direct APK
Side-loading development builds
These steps show how to side load a development build, instead of the version included in the OUYA store.
Step 3: Go to

and download the latest nightly build.
