The recent XBMC Frodo releases added PVR support to XBMC, allowing you to watch tv, view the tv guide, watch recordings etc. To use these new features, you also need a PVR backend. That's where NextPVR comes into the picture. NextPVR takes care of controlling your capture devices, scanning, recording, streaming live tv etc. The NextPVR addon for XBMC is compatible with Windows and Linux.
