Being a total newbie with XBMC and the XBMC wiki, I am a bit shy to just start editing. Furthermore I only know about the xbmc implementation on Linux (and I don't know much). Therefore a suggestion to somebody more competent to improve this page:
I spent considerable time figuring out how to start the webserver when my only remote control is based on HTTP (ipad in my case). After a lot of searching around I found that the necessary options are in ~/.xbmc/userdata/guisettings.xml. This is on Linux, and I don't know what it looks like on other platforms.
It would make sense to mention the guisettings.xml file and its webserver options on this page.
