XBMC has integrated Audio-CD (CDDA) ripping functionality. In order to use this feature, first configure the [[My_Music_Settings#CD_Ripping|CD Ripping Settings]] (to set which encoder quality to use and where to store the files). Then select the first track of the CD that you would like to rip and choose ''Rip CD Audio'' from the context-menu. However, if you'd like to rip the entire CD, highlight the parent button (the one that make it go up one directory) and then do as stated above.

If your Xbox is connected to the internet, XBMC will automatically download the album-information (via [http://www.freedb.org freedb.org CDDB]) and update the ID3-tags with the proper information, also album thumbnails will be automatically downloaded (from [http://www.allmusic.com AMG/Allmusic.com]).

Select the Audio CD from the My Music root listing. Once the Audio CD is opened, choose Rip CD Audio from the context-menu.

If your Xbox is connected to the internet, XBMC will automatically download the album-information (via freedb.org CDDB) and update the ID3-tags with the proper information.
