Music playback is done while in the main XBMC GUI or the full screen Visualization. XBMC will default to staying in the main GUI.

Controls

Music control can be done while in the main XBMC GUI or the visualization screen.

While in the GUI you are able to browse all of XBMC and even look at pictures while playing music.

During GUI playback you can call up the Mini Control at any time if you are using a control method that does not offer standard playback controls.

Visualizations

One of the most impressive features of My Music is its integrated support for visualizations, which are a way to make your music come to life on screen. XBMC offers support for many visualizations and some of the following may be present in your installation:

  • Saville
  • Saville Blue
  • Spectrum Analyzer
  • StarBurst
  • Boxalizer 1 and 2
  • Fountain
  • G-Force
  • Goom
  • Milkdrop - Arguably the best of all, with its mind-bending effects and the ability to fully customize it through the User Interface
  • Vortex

You can configure Visualization in one of two different ways: Through Music Settings or through the On Screen Display (OSD) while playing the Visualization.
