DVBViewer Pro is a software application for Microsoft Windows to watch and record digital TV broadcasts (DVB-T, DVB-S, DVB-C, ATSC). It provides all basic functions you need to enjoy digital television and radio programs. The XBMC/Kodi addon allows you to use DVBViewer Recording Service as a PVR backend of XBMC/Kodi.

Overview

DVBViewer Pro is made by CM&V Hackbart and is available for purchase online at dvbviewer.com. Main feature are watching/streaming live TV and recordings, EPG, extensive web interface, UPnP/DLNA AV server, special iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad support, video transcoding and a lot more.

DVBViewer Pro and DVBViewer Recording Service (the backend) is available for Windows only. However the XBMC/Kodi addon (the frontend) is available on all platforms which are supported by XBMC/Kodi.

More Information can be found in the wiki: English, German

A list of supported hardware can be found at http://de.dvbviewer.tv/wiki/Unterst%C3%BCtzte_Hardware (German only)

DVBViewer not the same software as DVBLink

Note! For DVBLink please see the "PVR/Backend/DVBLink" article instead.

There have to be some confusion between "DVBViewer" and "DVBLink" PVR clients for XBMC/Kodi, and some people seem to think that they are the same PVR backend software, but DVBViewer software is made by CM&V Hackbart which is not the same software as DVBLink, made by DVBLogic.
