OUYA uses XBMC for Android. The current XBMC version, v13 "Gotham", should be fully compatible with the OUYA.

  1. XBMC for Android - Most users will want to and should use the normal XBMC for Android v13 (Gotham). AC3 and DTS audio processing is supported. This version is completely compatible with the OUYA, including hardware video decoding. http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/android/arm/xbmc-13.1-Gotham-armeabi-v7a.apk
  2. XBMC on OUYA - An unofficial version of XBMC based on v12.2, but with hardware video decoding, available from the OUYA Store. This newest version now supports audio passthrough.
  3. SPMC - Because XBMC on OUYA (Store version) has AC3 and DTS audio disabled, you can download SPMC, which is the OUYA store version (v12.2) + AC3/DTS: http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?8220-SPMC-Koying

How-to

These steps show how to side load the full official version of XBMC v13, instead of the version included in the OUYA store (which has disabled audio codecs).
